Yanelis Martin, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Yanelis Martin was born and raised in Cuba and arrived to the United States in 1994. After graduating with Honors and as the Best ESOL student at Coral Park Senior High School, she received full scholarship at Florida International University. At FIU, she graduated with Honors in Biology and Chemistry. In 2004, Dr. Martin obtained her Doctorate’s degree in Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in PA. She then pursued her dream of completing an Internship, Residency, and Fellowship in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Endocrinology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami Veteran Hospital, and the Miller School of Medicine. During her last year of training, she served as the Chief Resident for her program and was honored by the Dr. Charles H. Peglow Award.
In 2011, Dr. Martin became the Endocrinologist of Florida Pritikin Longevity Center in Doral, FL. where she educated patients from all over the world about Endocrine, Diabetes and Metabolism and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. In 2015, Dr. Martin and her younger sister Ms. Yipsi Martin, B.A, opened the doors of Martin Medical Center, Inc. Dr. Martin has received multiple Top Doctor awards, recognizing, and commemorating the achievements of today’s most influential and respected doctors in medicine. Dr. Martin’s passion for teaching is highly recognized. She is a Volunteer Professor at the Florida International University Physician Associate Program.
Dr. Martin’s love for her profession is admirable and worth emulating. Her office is staffed by highly recognized ancillary professionals and a group of Physician Associates she educated in the field of Endocrinology and Diabetes.
