Kayla was born and raised in Miami, Florida and is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. She received her bachelor’s degree at Barry University and later continued her education pursuing her Masters degree in “Physician Assistant Studies” at the Florida International University. Kayla Gonzalez is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. During the course of her studies, Kayla was able to build firsthand Endocrinology experience while finishing her clinical rotations at the North Miami Beach Community Health Center. Martin Medical Center welcomed Kayla Gonzalez as a Physician Assistant early in the year 2021. Kayla received intensive one on one training by Dr. Yanelis Martin as soon as she came aboard the Martin Medical Center Team. After such aggressive training, Kayla specializes in treating patients with both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Thyroid disorders, Pituitary, Adrenal, bone loss, and other endocrine disorders. She is passionate about developing individualized treatment plans with Dr. Martin, to help provide the best quality care to her patients.
